Texans vs Chargers

Welcome Back Texans

Texans-vs-Chargers
Well football fans, it sure feels good to be a Texan! It's been far too long since we had football on our tv's, but the Houston Texans made it worth the wait. After a slow start and working our nerves, the good guys came through in a big way. What seemed like an improbable come back became just another day at work for the Houston Texans. We didn't make all the plays, but we made they ones that mattered. And can we all say, WELCOME BACK BRIAN CUSHING! It was great to see him back and make one of the biggest plays of the game with his beautiful INT return for a TD. Another beautiful sight was to see all the Houston Texans fans that traveled to San Diego to support our guys! Great job showing up the Chargers fans in their own stadium. This seems to be a growing
habit to get louder than other teams in their own place. Get used to it NFL, these Texans bleed red, white and blue!

Rough Starts and Happy Endings

There is no other way to put it. We had a rough start from the very beginning. At times we made Ronnie Brown look like ol' LT out there on the field. I don't know what was said by the coaching staff, but damn it, it worked! Schaub was masterful again. I hear a lot of talk about Matt and he gets very unnecessary criticism from time to time. The fact is, the line did not block well at all, yet Schaub finished 34-45 for 346 yards and 3 TD's. Sure he had a freak INT, but it happens. All that matters is how you answer, and he marched the team down multiple times and capped off some nice drives. I was also happy to see the split back situation work  so well. Ben Tate ran hard and I felt he was the better fit for this match up. San Diego has a physical defense and Tate is a physical runner. Both our talented backs finished up with over 100 yards which is awesome considering how far behind we were. Nice to see the coaching staff patient. When most would have gone to panic mode, Kub stayed with the plan. He ran the ball and never got out of the flow of our offense.

Bow Down to the King

Congrats to Andre Johnson! This man has proved time and time again that he is truly one of the greats! The "old man" showed out once again hauling in 12 catches for 146 yards, which cemented his place in NFL history. Something he's making a habit of these days. This marked his 19th 100 yard game and also makes him the ONLY player in NFL history with that many. Best part is, we know its not the last. Houston loves Andre Johnson! Thank you for all your hard work AJ. You are the greatest to do it!

Houston Texans Fans

What would a Texans game be without showing love to the fans. As I said earlier, it was great to see all that red taking over San Diego. But don't worry, all the fans who watched from home, we see you too. This win is for the real fans everywhere. Keep posting your pics on game day, maybe you'll see yourself here at Everything Texans!
