Antonio Smith Suspended 1 Game

What up Texans fans? Well as you have all heard by now, Antonio Smith has been suspended for one game for his little altercation with Icognito in the game against the Dolphins. 

In my opinion, I can see this as a good thing for Antonio Smith and the Houston Texans. The fact that he only got a one game suspension is way better than what I originally thought. Obviously the punishment would have been worse if Antonio Smith would have really landed the hit with the helmet. Luckily, he sort of grazed Incognito. This is the reason I think his suspension was so short. The fact that he used a "weapon" could have gotten really ugly and probably landed him banned for a year. So for that I am surely happy that this didn't end up worse.

Antonio Smith Was Not Alone

The other side of the line is being completely ignored. Icognito was surely wrong as well. He is a "dirty" player in my opinion putting his hands to the face and throat of players. You have to understand the frustration with this. Not to justify Antonio Smith swinging a helmet, but when you have to deal with that play after play, eventually your patience is going to run out. You see the result of that here in this altercation. What really irritates me as a Houston Texans fan is seeing all these people starting to diss our team ever since this happened. All of a sudden we are a dirty team that cheats. These are some of the comments I've seen around in regards to the Houston Texans. I won't display the full names for privacy reasons:

"It was a cheap shot, I've watched it hundred times. Houston are becoming the Raiders. Chopping guys knees out and using helmets as weapons. Pretty lame. That's OK though, Indy will take that division over those choke artists anyway"

"If u watch the whole game and that thug Swearinger gets in pushing matches through out the game be4 he finally dove at Kellers knees..its cool, what goes around comes around, texans will suck this year"

"Antonio Smith just mad because he got manhandled every time he played Incognito. Ef the cheatiing ass Texans"

"I love how everyone is saying how dirty Incognito is but hes never taken a helmet and try to bash someones head because he got beat"
