Arian Foster Returns

Arian Foster Back At Practice

Arian-Foster
Good news for the Houston Texans is the fact that Pro Bowl RB Arian Foster hit the practice field again. Foster told reporters that he is not a fan of preseason anyways and will be ready to go for the Houston Texans Tickets

I can definitely see where Foster is coming from on this one. I totally believe that an All Pro like Arian Foster doesn't really need preseason games to be ready for the regular season. I think RB is one position where you can avoid the preseason games and still be good. Same goes for veteran receivers. I only see it as NECESSARY for new receivers that need to build chemistry with the QB, and of course rookies and players trying to make the cut.

Down Side For Arian Foster

My only issue here is that Arian Foster does not seem to be in the best of health this season. I really think he is going to have nagging pains all year, especially in his back. That cannot be good for an offense that relies on the run game to open the pass. At what point do you rest him? Do you wait to see if it seems that he's really hurting the team? Do we have 100% faith that Ben Tate can lead this team in the ground game?

Ben Tate as a Fill in For Arian Foster

I really like Tate's style but I fear for his health as well. He does seem to be a bit injury prone and has never really showed the ability to be THE every down back over a series of consecutive weeks. If Arian Foster is forced to miss time, Ben Tate has to step up and fill in. Rumors swirling about the Houston Texans actually considering a veteran player like Willis McGahee if Foster or Tate go down for an extended amount of time. McGahee showed that he still had gas in the tank last season. Besides, are we really ready to hand the responsibility over to Deji Kareem or one of the other rookie backs?

Hopefully things get better for Foster and he is able to play the season without any setbacks. This looks like the year the Houston Texans can really take the cake, and it would really be heartbreaking to see Foster go down and the teams season go down the drain. In a season where the Indianapolis Colts are making huge strides, the Texans are going to need the team fully in tact to keep rank in the division.
